The annual Kaamatan Festival is held once a year in May to preserve the cultural heritage of Kadazan, Dusun and Murut tribal traditions. The “Magavau” ceremony is held in honor of the “Bambazon” which is the spirit of rice. Various cultural events of the competition including Unduk Ngadau and the sugandoi singing competition as well as performances of cultural traditions accompanied by the gong fair will be held.
