It’s time for a Filipino feast!
Take a trip to Plaza 333 and dine at the one and only authentic Filipino restaurant in the area., Kuya BBQ and Grill opened is fairly new, and we must say, the dishes are spot on yummy.
Traditionally made with goat meat, this Beef Kaldereta (hearty meat stew with potatoes) is tender and full of flavour!
Sizzling Pork Sisig (pork parts; often: head, liver, cheeks) served with onion, chili, calamansi, and an egg in the middle.
For soup, we couldn’t get over how good the Chicken Binakol was. With a mixture of young coconut and sweet coconut juice, it definitely takes the taste of this soup a notch above and it’s only served at this restaurant in the whole of KK as of now.
The most important thing to consider in making Sinigang Baboy dishes is the level of sourness of the soup. The traditional ingredients are unripe tamarind, bilimbi (kamias), and guava.
A delicious balance of salty and savory, Adobong Baboy is made with sliced pork marinated in vinegar and soy sauce topped with potatoes and hard boiled egg.
Other notable dishes are Crispy Pata (deep fried pork knuckle), Tortang Talong (eggplant omelette), Inihaw Na Liempo (grilled marinated pork belly), Daing Na Bangus (deep fried marinated milkfish), and Buffalo Wings.
For desserts, the dense dessert Leche Flan (Caramel custard) is richer than its Spanish counterparts because it’s made with condensed milk and more egg yolks.
Perfect for a hot day, Halo-Halo, means “mix mix” in Tagalog (that’s exactly what you’re supposed to do with it) is a quintessential Filipino dessert that is made with a hodgepodge of ingredients, including shaved ice, sweet beans, fruit, tapioca, and yam ice cream. Best-dessert-ever to cool down your tummy!
If you are looking forward to have your birthday party or any gathering, this restaurant can accommodate 60 diners at a time. Catering is also available.
