Looking for authentic Sabahan food or you (kind of) miss the famous IKEA meatballs?

No worries! There is a new restaurant along Jalan Penampang – Papar Lama serving authentic Sabahan and local menu for you! The owner, Christ Jamianus or “Christ Boy London” opened his café last September after returning from Korea. He opened his childhood dream café with his savings and named it ‘Little Sulap Cafe’. Originally from Kuala Penyu, he brings back his food memories with his grandma and mother, and learned other the recipes by himself.

Served with mashed potato, sweet sauce, and creamy black pepper gravy, this homemade meatball is different than others. You can choose from either 6 pieces, 8 pieces or 12 pieces of meatballs. Price range: RM 13.90 – RM 15.90.

Hey Little Sulap is a small shop with a good ambience to make you feel at home. “I tried to design something like Pondok (hut) concept, but the interior design ended up looking like a cosy home.  I love it more than previous idea,” says Christ.

The cafe fits 20-30 people and is available for private events.

Opening Hours: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm (Wednesday to Monday; Closed on Tuesday)
