Breath of fresh air with 24 beautifully designed murals in Foh Sang

Funded by the Luyang Assemblyman office, the “Foh Sang Community Art Project” involves both the young artists and 24 participating shop owners in coming up with the mural designs that reflect the nature of local businesses, culture and other themes. Revisit Foh Sang today!

Best of Sabah Holiday Packages 2019/2020

Featuring 135 holiday packages offered by 76 travel agencies, tourism product operators, homestay operators and local airlines in Sabah, Tourism Malaysia has introduced a special edition booklet entitled “Best of Sabah Holiday Packages 2019/2020” in support of the Visit Malaysia 2020 (#VM2020) campaign and to promote Sabah’s beautiful and exciting attractions to both local and international tourists. The packages on offer shine the limelight not only on destinations but also highlights Sabah’s rugged adventures, colourful culture and exotic cuisines. 

A total of 135 holiday packages were launched by the Chief Minister of Sabah, YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Shafie bin Haji Apdal at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport on 20 September 2019. Also present was the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture YB Datuk Mohamaddin bin Ketapi and Deputy Chief Minister cum Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah, YB Datuk Christina Liew. The event was also witnessed by key tourism industry players from all over Malaysia.

The initiative is the result of partnerships with Sabah Tourism Board, MATTA Sabah Chapter, Sabah Tourism Association, Sabah Homestay Association and local airlines in Sabah. Visit for more info or follow Tourism Malaysia Sabah on Facebook to get updates on promotional activities in Sabah.

231 Runners at Tropical Rainforest Run

A total of 231 runners participated in the inaugural Tropical Rainforest Run on Mount Lucia trail at Tawau Hills Park. The event was flagged off by YB Assaffal P. Alian, Assistant Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment on 28 September 2019, at 7:00 a.m. 

“It was a successful event today. We have 9 participants from Indonesia, 6 participants from Kenya, and 216 participants from Malaysia. Knowing that we have received a total of 231 participants is a great start as the first event here at Tawau Hills Park since the trail is only limited to 300 participants to maintain its natural environment”, YB Assaffal P. Alian commented during the press conference at the finishing line, adding that protecting the environment and its natural habitat is very important.
