Location
Kiulu is situated in the Tamparuli district and is 47.7 kilometres away from the State capital of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu. The word ‘Kiulu’ was actually derived from a plant that is called ‘Tulu’, which is a small bamboo plant that grows on the river bank.
Itinerary
Day 1
0830 am: Arrival at Kiulu, Transfer to starting point of the River Side Trail
0930 am: Briefing by guide, trekking
1230 pm: Lunch
1330 pm: Continue trek
1500 pm: Arrival at ending point of trek. Set up hammock.
1800 pm: Dinner, free and easy.
1900 pm: Campfire and sleep.
Day 2
0700 am: Breakfast
0830 am: Water safety briefing by guide, start of white water rafting
1230 pm: Arrival at ending point, lunch
1400 pm: Depart for Kota Kinabalu
You will be sleeping in a hammock for the night.
You will be preparing your own meals during your stay. Lunch will be provided on the second day.

Arrival by flights
You can fly to Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) direct from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Labuan, Sandakan or Tawau.
Arrival by land
You can travel to Kota Kinabalu by Taxi from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (approx. 14 minutes) and by Bus from Sandakan (approx. 6 hours), from Tawau (approx. 8 hours).
