Description
Mengkabong is located in Tuaran, and home of the Bajau Sea Gypsies descendants who have set foot on land in the early nineteenth century. Presently, they are known as fisherman who have resided in small village built on water. Visitors can enjoy the river cruise tour and know more about the importance of mangrove forest, accompanied by the beautiful nature scenery along the river where water streams peacefully and witness the everyday life of the indigenous tribe Bajau fisherman.

Tuaran is a 45 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu and is located in the West Coast Division of Sabah, Malaysia. Other nearby attractions in the area includes Tuaran tamu (a native open-air maket held every Sunday), Sabandar Cowboy Town, Linangkit Cultural Village, Tuaran Crocodile Farm and more. Arrival by land
You can travel to Kota Kinabalu by Taxi from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (approx. 14 minutes) and by Bus from Sandakan (approx. 6 hours), from Tawau (approx. 8 hours)
