Description
Experience Sabah’s history of the infamous Sandakan-Ranau Death Marches and walk the experience of the soldiers who have lost their lives and paid homage to the locals who risked their lives to help them. Visitors will get the unique opportunity to walk a section of the Death March Track: between Nalapak and Muruk, and to visit several key POW sites. This package also includes a night stay at Sabah Tea Garden resort, the only organic tea farm in Borneo.

Ranau
Ranau is located in the West Coast of the Malaysian state of Sabah and makes up a majority of the Dusun community. Ranau is famous for it’s highland vegetables and aromatic local tea brand unlike any other.
Itinerary
Day 1:
Pick up 7.00 am from Kota Kinabalu (or your preferred location) to Kg Nabutan
Meet and walk the Sandakan Ranau Death March route to Kg Nalapak
Proceed to walk the Death March route to Kg Muruk
Return to Sabah Tea Garden
Day 2:
Visit Allen Quailey Memorial, Ranau POWs first campsite, Last Campsite Memorial at Kg Kenipir and Kundasang War Memorial
Departure to Kota Kinabalu

You can fly to Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) direct from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Labuan, Sandakan or Tawau.
Arrival by land
You can travel to Kota Kinabalu by Taxi from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (approx. 14 minutes) and by Bus from Sandakan (approx. 6 hours), from Tawau (approx. 8 hours)
